Our Purpose
SA Expeditions’ efforts on the Great Inca Trail demonstrate how travel can be a positive, powerful force in protecting ecology and ways of life. This UNESCO world heritage site is a massive, multicultural, multi-national historical monument that few know exists and is in danger of disappearing. By promoting equitable travel practices in the area, SA works to alleviate the pressure on more heavily visited sites like Machu Picchu while promoting sustainable development of this vulnerable cultural heritage site.
